FAQs

What breed of dog do you accept?

We are unable to accept any dog that comes under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Are there any other dogs you won’t accept?

We are unable to accept dogs that are aggressive, destructive, in season or hyperactive. We prefer if male dogs are neutered, however temperament is the most important factor. Dogs that are prone to continuous barking are not suitable.  Unfortunately Maddie dislikes German Shepherds and regretfully we cannot accept them for daycare or boarding.

Can we come and visit before committing to a booking?

Please do! In fact we insist on meeting all dogs before accepting a booking to ensure they are sociable and suitable for our set up.  You need to know that this is the right option for you and your dog and we can discuss any particular requirements you may have. This can be arranged by phone or email.

What do we need to bring when we drop off our dog?

Bring your dogs food, collar, bedding, bowls, toys and grooming materials so your dog feels at home. A copy of your dogs vaccination record and details of your pet insurance provider and policy number. If you wish, bring a written itinerary regarding your feeding, walking and medication routine, should you have one. Feel free to bring treats, these will be given at our discretion or as per your instructions.

What if my dog becomes ill?

If your dog is ill or injured we will seek veterinary advice and if necessary take them to the Vets specified by you on your booking form providing it is within reasonable travelling distance (or if not, to our local Vets). You will be made aware of this by phone, text or email. If your dog is insured we will require these details from you. If uninsured then we ask you sign a disclaimer removing us from any financial liability for the veterinary bills.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, cheques or direct bank transfer. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

Are your prices negotiable for long stays?

Due to exclusivity and the small size of business we are unable to reduce our price per night. However we do offer a loyalty discount for returning customers.

Do you charge extra for Bank Holidays and Christmas?

We don’t charge extra for Bank Holidays but we do charge 50% extra from 18th December to 4th January due to high demand.
